Power Board

100-002

  • 1-3-09 : unknown root cause. When powering over fup at 14V, am able to get PWM (in mode 6) at times. However, often resets SC or MC.
  • 12-19-08 : gate drive ECO done
  • 12-17-08 : Reset controller when powered. Magic smoke escapes from unknown source.
  • 11-29-08 : Simple verification with SC 110-205, seems operational. 5 mins of Upd_test_pattern_112608a
  • 11-27-08 : Failed during high RPM test. Application of 30V suggests that all the installed TVS devices have failed. PB Led is off, no 12V supply. Bypassed Q2 and 12V supply started. Removed power, and 12V supply still worked.


Possibly used to be 110-ENG2

  • 12-31-08 : broken
  • 12-19-08  : gate drive ECO done
  • 12-18-08  : removed U11 Supply still loaded removed U9 supply went from ~.42a to ~.24a
  • 12-18-08  : u11 also has hot spot
  • 12-17-08 : Applied 5.0V to R8/GND, U9 heated up.
  • 12-17-08 : U3, U10 removed. R8 still has 10 ohms to ground. Cases (Drains) of 6631 fets are correct.
  • 12-14-08 : seriously damaged in airport incident. U3 (ACS712 for battery) destroyed. 12V switcher works, however, 5V MD is overloaded - removed R8 (0 ohm). Also U10 seems to have mechanical damage.
  • 11-30-08 : SC 110-205 ran Upd_test_pattern_112608a for 3 hrs
  • 11-29-08 : simple verification with SC 110-205
  • 11-26-08 : benched tested for 3 days.
  • 11-26-08 : has 2.0 ohm gate drive
  • 11-26-08 : has 225W TVS on bypass caps.

  • 10-8-08 : installed in upright2; during power platarflexion tests heard noises of instability from motor. reduce motor filter (Q & D) to PWM max of 20k (from 30k). During one test, the motor system seized (making noise) and 17amps was coming from the battery. Afterwards, attempts to energy mode 2/3 caused 1.1amp current draw from power supply

  • 1-9-09 : BROKEN : has weird ADC offset (most of the time) after power on.
  • 1-8-09 : appears to have died in testing with proto1. torque ripped when unpowered.
  • 1-6-09 : has been used for CG6 code rev, and bench tested for many hours. Works well.
  • 1-3-09 : seems to spin forward and reverse.
  • 12-19-08 : gate drive ECO done
  • 11-29-08 : BROKEN - spins fine in positive direction, but negative is very broken
  • 11-27-08 : appears to have failed turning overnight test. Originally - VBAT_PROT didn't make it to the 12V switcher.
  • 11-26-08 : operational

  • 1-11-09 : bench_test_pattern_090111 for 2-3 mins
  • 1-11-09 : ran ~12 hours overnight successfully (CG6) bench_test_pattern_090110. Hardcore filter - 1500 3000 0 32750
  • 1-10-09 : will run overnight with
  • 1-10-09 : replaced gate drive with ECO#2 (30 ohms and schottkys)
  • 1-10-09 : for no obvious reason appears to be working. possibly it was the SC/MC in proto1 that is bad.
  • 1-9-09 : safety fet case is connect to each motor phase. ~1.1mohm between cases. 258kohm case to ground.
  • 1-6-09 : believe to be installed in proto1 - and also believe to be bad.
  • 12-19-08 : Has Firmware CE6, with overload protection. Running overnight with Upd_test_pattern_112608a
  • 12-18-08 : Replaced U1 (12v switcher) and completed (gate driver ECO)
  • 12-04-08 : started Upd_test_pattern_112608a with SC 110-006 - ran from 1am to 8.30am. Motor temperature was 124F
  • 12-04-08 : reworked the schottky diodes - seems to be okay.
  • 11-26-08 : is operational, but seems like it might be warm. I=180mA in mode 3, 0 torque. Added schottky and still gets warm (Hot). Upto 280mA depending on motor angle.
