Iron & Clay Cowpeas - This summer annual with good heat tolerance can thrive on a wide range of soils, due to its deep tap root. Soil temperatures must be 65 degrees prior to planting. The broadcast seeding rate is 70 lbs/acre at a 1 inch seeding depth, in firm seed bed. Iron & Clay is a forage cowpea that can fix up 125 to 150 labs of Nitrogen/acre. (Requires specific cowpea inoculant)
