Gain and filters sections:

Front End

  • subject protection is via 100K resistors on the 3 signals
  • 3.3KHz differential filter, 16KHz common mode filter
  • instrumentation amp with gain of 25, referenced to common

1st output stage (01)

  • 16 Hz high pass
  • 300 Hz, 2nd order active LP with gain of 10.5
  • stage output through 2K resistor and 800 Hz LP. 0.1uF bypass across output. Total gain 262x

2nd output stage (02)

  • output of 2nd order LP goes to 16 Hz high pass
  • followed by gain of 48 amplifier (actual gain is 48 not 11x)
  • stage output through 2K resistor and 800 Hz LP. 0.1uF bypass across output. Total gain ~12,600- resulting in +-9V EMG signals.
