hatches

mother royal palm

• 4-8-15 - brown and yellow
• 4-16-15? yellow (about 9 days to follow RP without trouble)
• 4-25-15 : black beauty Meg and I hatched at 8pm, but in the morning was in the water.

artificial incubation

• 4-17-15 - started JC eggs (12), ~6 of YM, and ~19 turkeys
• 4-25-15 - checked, 100% developing! But butterfingers dropped two.
• 4-27-15??? - hope to get more JC eggs

• 5-8-15 ~15 chickens
• 5-15-15 ~19 turkeys

natural incubation

What a mess - total chaos. Two turkeys (bronze, RPbaby) sharing a nest. Add a 2nd nest and now they're switching nests. Will move 1 nest to inside RP pen at night. Might well let them be started in their hatching home.

Estimate they actually started incubation around 4-22-15. (They'd been sitting on the eggs at night, but then would leave nest during the day.)
