Cut and add to a large pot, the following items in order:
- 6 lbs boneless skinless chicken (or pork loin, or beef rump roast)
- 1-2 lbs ginger - cut to small pieces and place in blender adding water.
- 1/2 oz dry thyme leaves, some salt, lots of black pepper.
- 5 lbs onions
- 1 large leek
- 1 lbs scallions
- 1 head cabbage
- 2 stalks celery
- 2 lbs mushrooms
- 1 lb baby carrots
- (all items will be cut to bit size pieces )
Start cooking chicken then start cutting other items in order and add to giant pot as cutting. Add water to keep water level with solids, and stir periodically. Keep at or near boiling.
after all items added, and boiled for 10 additional mins: 1/2 lb lima beans 4 lbs frozen corn
stir and allow to cool by setting pot in large water bath.
